Remember these steps:
Why divide? We're finding how many groups of the exchange rate fit into our total!
Mistake 1: Multiplying instead of dividing
Mistake 2: Forgetting to use the exchange rate
Mistake 3: Not checking your answer
For each problem, say DIVIDE or MULTIPLY:
Think: Are we starting with UGX or foreign currency?
Rule: UGX → Foreign = DIVIDE Tomorrow: Foreign → UGX = MULTIPLY
What We Learned Today:
✓ When converting UGX to foreign currency, we DIVIDE
✓ Formula: Foreign Currency = UGX ÷ Exchange Rate
✓ Why divide? Counting how many groups of the rate fit in our total
✓ Four-step method: UNDERSTAND - PLAN - WORK - ANSWER
✓ Always check by multiplying back!
