Lesson Plan
Systems of linear inequalities
Goals / Objectives
Decide whether a point solves a system of linear inequalities, from its graph or by substitution, and interpret the point in context
Graph a system of two linear inequalities and identify the overlap as its solution set
Write the implicit non-negativity constraints a context requires
Recognize a system whose constraints admit no solution
Standards
"Given a linear inequality or system of linear inequalities, interpret a point in the xy-plane in terms of the solution set." "Create and use linear inequalities in one or two variables to solve problems in a variety of contexts." "Make connections between tabular, algebraic, and graphical representations of linear inequalities in one or two variables by deriving one from the other."
