- Lesson Plan →Objectives, pacing and practice, built from this lesson's brief.
- Guided Notes →One page your students fill in and keep.
- Exit Ticket →Three items at the end of class. No student accounts.
- Re-teach →After an exit ticket: who missed what, and what to do tomorrow.
- Homework →Assign practice; it grades itself.
"Questions will require students to solve problems by using a proportional relationship between quantities, calculating or using a ratio or rate, and/or using units, derived units, and unit conversion."
"• Solve problems involving derived units, including those that arise from products (e.g., kilowatt-hours) and quotients (e.g., population per square kilometer)."
"• Solve problems involving: » a one-step unit conversion. » a multistep or multidimensional unit conversion."

What you'll learn
- Solve a rate or measurement problem by carrying the units through the calculation, so that the answer comes out in the units the question asks for
- Use a rate's unit to decide whether to multiply or divide by the rate, and form the reciprocal rate when the question needs it
- Convert a measurement with conversion factors written as ratios equal to 1, in one step or in a chain
- Convert a rate, and convert a squared or cubed unit with the squared or cubed conversion factor
- Solve problems with derived units formed as quotients (density, population density) and as products (kilowatt-hours), finding any one of the three related quantities from the other two
