**Background**: "Measurements are one of the ways that help us describe the world. It is through time that learners will be able to distinguish between words like arrival, departure and others. Therefore, finding duration must be emphasised especially when it involves conversion of minutes to hours or vice versa."
**Learning Outcome**: "The learner appreciates and applies the knowledge of time in real life situations."
**Subject Competences** (The learner): "Reads and tells time on 12 and 24-hour clocks; Converts time from 12-hour clock to 24-hour clock or vice versa; Solves problems involving time in 12 and 24-hour clock; Reads timetables and finds durations"
**Content**: "12 and 24-hour clocks; Timetables (travel, class and work timetable)"
**Suggested Activities**: "Reading time on the 12 and 24 hour clocks; Converting time from 12-hour to 24-hour and vice versa; Reading timetables; Finding duration; Solving problems involving time"
**Guidance to the Teacher**: "Make this topic practical. Use various clock faces to help learners read and write time correctly in both 12 and 24 hour clocks. Have learners identify the tricky points (midday and midnight) of time in the 24-hour clock. Display charts showing different timetables and encourage learners to discuss questions related to duration. Emphasise the correct way of reading and writing time."
