"Know and directly apply relevant theorems such as the: • triangle angle sum theorem. • vertical angle theorem and the relationship of angles formed when a transversal cuts parallel lines."
What you'll learn
- Decide whether three lengths can form a triangle, and find the range of possible lengths of a third side from the other two, using the triangle inequality theorem (the sum of any two sides is greater than the third)
- Decide which given values can be the length of the third side, excluding the two boundary values
- Count the integer lengths inside the range, and solve for x when the third side is an expression such as 2x + 1
