"Solve problems in a variety of contexts using: ... • right triangle trigonometry."
What you'll learn
- Find a missing side or angle of a right triangle with a trigonometric ratio, including in problems about angles of elevation and depression
- Choose the ratio (sin, cos, or tan) from which sides are known and unknown, and set up and solve the equation for a missing side from a known angle
- Use inverse trig functions (sin^(-1), cos^(-1), tan^(-1)) to find a missing angle given two sides
- Draw and solve applied right triangle problems involving angles of elevation and depression, both measured from the horizontal
