What you'll learn

  1. Compare two linear functions presented in different representations: which changes faster and which starts higher, from each function's rate of change and initial value, and which is greater at a given input, from their outputs there
  2. Extract the rate of change and initial value from a rule, a table, or a graph, including a table with no input-0 row
  3. Find the input at which two functions produce equal outputs
  4. Determine which function is greater on each side of the crossing point
  5. Answer a contextual comparison as a recommendation, not just a number
